Fulcrum drives US expansion with new hire

London, 10 May 2022: Fulcrum Asset Management announces the appointment of Chris DeMeo as Head of Solutions, North America. He joins from abrdn, where he was Head of Americas within its Client Solutions Group.


He previously worked for investment solutions business Nu Paradigm (which he co-founded), Willis Towers Watson, Russell Investments and Merrill Lynch.


Commenting, Matthew Wright, Partner at Fulcrum Asset Management, said:

“We are delighted to welcome someone of Chris’ stature and experience to Fulcrum. This move underlines our commitment to our US clients and deepens our footprint within North America.”

Chris will work alongside Paul Seaton who has worked at Fulcrum from inception and been based out of the US for the last six years. One of Fulcrum’s key products in the US is a 40 Act version of its Diversified Absolute Return strategy. Clients there are also able to benefit from the firm’s Cayman Islands-domiciled versions of its fund suite.


Fulcrum has a team of over 80 people including macroeconomists, asset class specialists and research analysts.
