Two strategic advisers added to Fulcrum’s Alternative Solutions team

Fulcrum Asset Management announces two new appointees to its Alternative Solutions strategic adviser panel.

Consumer sector expert Rashmi Giles and energy sector expert Paul Markwell have both been appointed with immediate effect.

Paul Markwell has over 40 years’ experience in Oil & Gas and energy advisory companies, including Shell International, McKinsey and IHS Markit (now S&P Global).

His skills span engineering and technology, business development, strategic planning, adaptation of businesses to the energy transition, and country-level energy policy.  His current other advisory roles include curating a Carbon Management program at CERAWeek, a major energy and climate conference, and as an Associate at Green Angel Ventures, assisting in screening investments in early-stage sustainable businesses. He is a Fellow of the Energy Institute in the UK and an Honorary Fellow of Brunel University London.

Rashmi Giles has been providing corporate finance and strategic advice to British and international retail and consumer brands for over 25 years.

She worked for a number of large blue chip and boutique investment banks such as Schroders/Citibank, ING Barings and Qualye Munro before setting up her own strategic and corporate finance advisory business, Giles Corporate Finance. As a non-executive director and board adviser, Rashmi focuses on helping founders and shareholders with strategic decision making and implementation.

Rashmi and Paul join existing Fulcrum Alternative Solutions strategic adviser panel members, property expert Julian Stocks, a partner at Knight Frank, chartered surveyor Gus Coke and credit expert Ed Britton.
